Helping you To find meaning and To cultivate happiness
This is a therapeutic approach that incorporates positive psychology principles and practices, and which helps people change by constructing solutions rather than focusing on problems. The therapist supports the clients as they develop the skills, the resources and the abilities needed to successfully move towards their goals. This approach focuses on strengths and on the fact that individuals have the personal resources to create the change they want or need in their lives.
Mindfulness therapy focuses on increasing our awareness of the thoughts, feelings and actions that hinder our progress. When we are better able to do that, we can engage with those aspects of ourselves, learn to tweak our languages and choose how to respond to life situations (psychology.com). Mindfulness-based intervention generally aims at relieving symptoms of stress. It is a type of talk therapy that focuses on how to be more aware and how to reduce automatic responses.
This is a treatment approach that helps clients recognize negative or unhelpful thoughts and behaviour patterns. CBT aims to explore the way our emotions and our thoughts can affect our actions. Once we notice these patterns, we can learn how to change our behaviours and develop new coping strategies. CBT can help with a wide range of issues including depression, anxiety, stress, or PTSD.
These aim to help promote mental health and emotional healing by encouraging clients to be compassionate towards themselves and others (goodtherapy.org).
